| Chiropractor/Acupuncturist/Massage Therapist? |
[May. 16th, 2012|04:21 am] |
Hello Windsor!
I was wondering if anyone knew a good Chiropractor in the Downtown or Devonshire Mall area (accessible by the 1A/1C bus, basically) who also offers acupuncture and massage therapy on site?
Thanks in advance! |

| Zumba Classes |
[Feb. 21st, 2012|05:00 pm] |
Does anyone know a really good Zumba class in Windsor? I've tried Cathy's Dance Studio, Joel at Absolute Fitness, and Zumba with Heather (classes in and around LaSalle), but none of these have really clicked for me like my old Zumba class did. I'm not keen to join a gym, so any classes I can simply drop in to would be fantastic.

| Windsor Pride? |
[Nov. 19th, 2011|09:33 pm] |

I've been interested in volunteering for Windsor Pride for a while, but I've had no luck getting any response from them. I went into their office to turn in the necessary forms and was told they'd get back to me in a week or two - that was at the end of August. I emailed their volunteer address to follow up at the start of October, and got no response. Since they're only open during work hours (and even then, fairly limited times) I would have to take time off work to go into the office again, and I'm a bit discouraged, to tell the truth. Have any of you had similar experiences, or found a better way to get in touch with them? Or is there another queer organization in the city that could use someone who wants to help out? |

| Assorted Records |

I have recently come into ownership of a huge collection of mixed vinyl albums. They range all over the map as far as musical category goes, from calypso music to orchestral to opera to comedy albums etc. There is some Robert Goulet (GOULET), Nat King Cole and Nancy Sinatra. There are some recognizable names and then a lot of organ music. Anyways, the reason for this post is that I can't possibly store all these records, I just don't have the space. If you're looking for some vinyls featuring classical pianos or some ironic silly things please comment and let's set something up. Donations are welcome. I'd like to try and use any money raised to put into buying supplies for the daycare I work at as we don't get any funding and we are always in need of supplies and new toys.

| Non-L&M music stores? |
[Sep. 24th, 2011|07:21 am] |
Is there an alternative to L&M when it comes to music stores in Windsor? I'm thinking of picking up guitar again, and I'm looking into purchasing an acoustic/acoustic-electric guitar. I have a general idea of what I want, but I'd like some guidance and help from non-dickheads. Any suggestions?
Also, I'm dork, and I miss singing in choirs and ensembles. Does anyone know of a decent group holding auditions? I mostly sing second soprano, but can go first alto or first soprano (up to a B flat) if needed.
Thanks! |

| Application T2 |
[Aug. 31st, 2011|09:25 pm] |
Hey everyone!
So I found a lemon of an apartment.. it is a duplex and when I signed up for my one year I had visions of cocktails on my balcony, relaxation and great decor.
Everything was fine until a guy in his early twenties moved downstairs.. a guy who doesn't work and has people coming over at all hours of the night. I hear his music a lot.. the door is the major issue because it slams like crazy and it happens at all hours as well.. needless to say I never sleep.
I have emails and documentation about the issues between the landlord and I (take note that I tried dealing with him first). My landlord got sick of me emailing her etc. and said her friend just killed herself and she is sick of dealing with this and to go through her boyfriend (he is not on my lease etc.)..
has anyone filed a T2 application? I am nervous.. I am nervous to give it to her tomorrow.. she is not the most understanding person.. do I have a good case? I'm only 4 months in but it's not a comfortable living space... |

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can buy Diatomaceous Earth, food grade. Also called Silica Dioxide and Silicone Dioxide. I just moved into an apartment building and want to create a barrier around my apartment from bugs, mostly bed bugs, because they scare the crap out of me.
Thanks in advance! |
